Larry Kubota's 1959 Chevrolet
1959 Chevrolet Impala restyled by Ortega's Custom Shop for Larry Kubota of Gardena, California. The hood's air scoops were filled and a 1960 Mercury grille was installed. The taillight housings were extended and four 1959 Cadillac taillights were installed on each side. The rear license plate housing was extended and frenched. The car was nosed and decked and the door handles were shaved away and replaced by electrically operated push-buttons. Larry Watson of Watson's House of Style painted the car pearl gold at the bottom and candy pearl at the top. The trunk was lined with white fur.[1]
