Jim Sanders' 1949 Ford
1949 Ford Convertible owned by Jim Sanders, of California. Under Ray Scott's tutelage, Jim frenched the headlights, chopped the top 4 inches, hand-fashioned a new grille, and installed 1947 Cadillac bumpers. A continental kit was purchased and attached, and a set of 1949 Mercury taillights were added. Top and upholstery were made by Hall Upholstery and Gaylord's Kustom Shop. Total cost of the car, including all of owner's labor was $4000.[1]
