1953 Mercury built by Jeano Lacoste of San Francisco, California. Jeano bought the brand new Mercury after returning from military service in 1953. Jeano brought the car to his friend Bill Kroll Cowell who ran a kustom shop in the basement of a garage and told him that he wanted the car nosed, decked and cleaned of other chrome and "untidy bits" in the bodywork. He also wanted the exhaust to flow through the bumpers, a new paint job and many other modifications. After Bill had finished the bodywork, Jeano took the car to Hall Upholstery for a new interior. The build took 3 weeks to complete. Once the car was finished Jeano entered the car in the 1954 National Roadster Show in Oakland.
