Jan Blomstrand's 1936 Ford Convertible
The history of this car is rather complex. It was found in a yard in the northern parts of Uppland by Staffan Runhag and his fellow Anders Larsson from Enköping in the early 1970s.
The owner was found and actually it was sold via a car dealer in Stockholm.
The car was included in the deal Staffan Runhag made when he bought his 1936 3-win coupe! This must be around 1973.
Staffan had a full-time job with his -36, so he gave the -35 cab as a Christmas gift to his friend Tord Enström!
Tord put the car together and brought it on a trailer to Östa in 1979, as a project car.
He slowly continued to Hotrod the car with help from Kristian Johansson in Bålsta. Boxed frame, Jaguar front and rear end and a Chevy smallblock engine.
As Tord had a busy life including family, job and other cars, he sold the project in 2002 to Jan Blomstrand who eagerly had waited to buy it!
Janne made an extensive work, doing almost everything himself in his garage including the fantastic deep black paint. The car was finished in 2020.
