11.01.2022 - Bobby Massaron's Venture. The Venture is an Aquila Kit Car built by Bobby Massaron of Northville, Michigan. The body was manufactured in Cupertino, California, and Bobby bought it from the manufacturer. "I mounted it on a VW platform," he told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2022. He then installed a 1989 Pontiac Firebird rear engine and a VW transaxle with an Adapter from Kennedy Engineering. "Engine is a V6,2.8 liter.60-degree V6. I did not like the original two single taillights so I made that real polished aluminum bars grille. It has a full-width taillight across the back." Once the bodywork was completed, the cart was painted Candy Apple Red. "I did the Interior in the car. The bucket seat base fiberglass mold, that I still have, was from the original mold that made the bucket seats in the A Brothers Deora. I did the interior complete." The Venture was a second "runnerup" at the 1990 Detroit Autorama for the Ridler Award. As Bobby is getting up there in age, he has decided to sell the Venture. He is asking $80.000 for the one-off car. Please contact Bobby at rmassaron@yahoo.com or phone: 313-608-6100 for more info and details. Click here for more info and photos.
