Hilton Vail
Hilton Vail of San Bernardino, California. Hilton has a cousin Ellis, that also is cousin with Junior Conway on his mother's side. Conway used to work for Barris, and Ellis lived in Lynwood, so when Hilton drove up to Lynwood, he and Ellis would stand and watch George Barris and his men work in the shop. Hilton remembers that there were chains you had to stand behind so you wouldn't walk in their way. At the time, Junior Conway's 1950 Ford and Duane Steck's 1954 Chevrolet were two of the most magnificent customs in Southern California according to Hilton.
