Gordon Stefans' 1955 Plymouth
1955 Plymouth Belvedere restyled by Vic's Body Shop of Fremont, California for Gordon Stefans. The car was nosed and decked and the bumper and license guards were shaved. The stock side trim were swapped by 1956 Chevrolet units. A horizontal grille bar made by sheet metal was mounted in the grille, and small vertical bars were inserted beneath the grille bar. Small grille pieces were added below the deck lid. Taillights from a 1956 Lincoln were installed and frenched into the rear fenders. The rear bumper was replaced by a 1956 Plymouth Fury unit. Once the bodywork was done, it was painted jet black with peacock blue flames. Gordon did the flames and striping himself. The car was lowered 5 inches all around, and dual spotlights were added. Fremont Upholstery Shop was responsible for the striking black and white interior.[1]
