Around 2010, Gianpy stumbled upon a listing on The HAMB, a popular hot rod forum. The listing showcased a 1931 Ford Model A Coupe, with its rolling chassis and body already modified – chopped and channeled. Although Tagliatti was immediately drawn to the project, financial constraints prevented him from making the purchase. Photo courtesy of Gian Paolo Tagliatti.
After acquiring the car, Tagliatti embarked on a journey to further personalize and enhance the coupe. He began by crafting the missing interior and addressing mechanical issues, such as the clutch. He also replaced the rims to give the car a 1960s racing look. One of the standout features he added was an aluminum bonnet complemented by a yellow plexiglass scoop. History

Around 2010, Gianpy stumbled upon a listing on The HAMB, a popular hot rod forum. The listing showcased a 1931 Ford Model A Coupe, with its rolling chassis and body already modified – chopped and channeled. Although Tagliatti was immediately drawn to the project, financial constraints prevented him from making the purchase.[1]

Fate, however, had other plans. The next day, Stefano, a close friend from the Crazy Cruisers Italy, discovered the same project. Stefano's determination led him to buy the car. Tagliatti, sharing Stefano's passion, traveled to Italy and devoted several weekends assisting Stefano in the car's restoration. Approximately a year later, the car was roadworthy, albeit not entirely complete.[1]

In a twist of events, Stefano later decided to sell the car. Seizing the opportunity, Tagliatti quickly purchased it, fulfilling his initial desire from a year prior.[1]

Modifications and Features

After acquiring the car, Tagliatti embarked on a journey to further personalize and enhance the coupe. He began by crafting the missing interior and addressing mechanical issues, such as the clutch. He also replaced the rims to give the car a 1960s racing look. One of the standout features he added was an aluminum bonnet complemented by a yellow plexiglass scoop.[1]

Under the hood, the car boasts a 1955 Dodge 270 Red Ram Hemi. This powerful engine is paired with a T50 gearbox and a banjo rear axle.[1]

The Coupe is more than just a vehicle for Tagliatti; it symbolizes passion, dedication, and the adventures he's shared with his wife. Together, they've traversed thousands of kilometers and showcased the car at numerous events. As for the future of this iconic hot rod? Tagliatti hints at more changes on the horizon, ensuring that the car's evolution is far from over.[1]
