Gary Broccoli's 1955 Mercury
1955 Mercury Monterey owned by Gary Broccoli of West Haven, Connecticut. In 1959 Gary's Mercury was shown at the Hartford Autorama, this version of the car was nosed, decked and shaved for door handles. Louvers had been punched into the hood. The headlight hood seam was molded and the front bumper guards were removed. Flames were painted on the front fenders and hood. 1957 Cadillac Sombreros, dual spotlights and lake pipes were added.[1]
In 1961 Gary's Mercury was shown at the 11th Hartford Autorama. This version had been restyled by the Bernardo Auto Body, and it featured rolled pans front and back. It was painted Candy Gold with a matching black and gold interior.[2]
