Fran Hernandez' 1932 Ford

1932 Ford 3-Window Coupe owned and raced by The Coupes member Fran Hernandez.

September 12, 1948 Fran turned 122.44 MPH with the coupe at El Mirage Dry Lake. It was officially clocked by the Rusetta Timing Association. At the time Fran ran a Mercury engine that was equipped with Offenhauser heads, manifold and ignition lead plate, a Winfield cam and Kurten ignition. A photo of the car with text and info describing the speed equipment on the car was printed in the 1949 Bell Auto Parts catalog.[1]
