1953 Nash Rambler Country Club owned by Oakland Smokers member Douglas Yeager of Oakland, California. The car was nosed, decked and shaved for door handles, the doors were operated by pushbuttons. The headlights were frenched and a custom grille was made and fit with 1953 Chevrolet grille teeth. A continental kit and fender skirts were installed. It was lowered 2 1/2" in the rear. Once the bodywork was done, it was painted green and cream. Designed both for street and drag use, the hood was louvered and fit with a molded-in scoop to cool down the hot 195.6 cubic inch engine. It was equipped with dual Zenith carburetors, Holthouse ignition, chopped flywheel, and it was ported, relieved, balanced and polished.[2]
