Doray Inc.'s 1949 Willys

Sport Custom built by Doray Inc. of Miami Springs, Florida, based on a 1949 Willys Jeepster. The chassis was kept strictly stock, the only Jeep body part remaining were the cowl, windshield and doors. The hood was borrowed from a 1937 Cord. Rest of the car was crafted from steel stock. The front-wheel fairings would turn along with the wheels, and were broken and hinged at the rear to allow full wheel travel. The fabric top was removable and was stored when not it use behind the seats with spare wheel and tire. Its fully wheelbase was 104 inch, and the overall length spanned 178 inches. Road clearance from ground to pan was 6 1/2".[1]
