Dick Soutiere's 1940 Ford
1940 Ford coupe owned by Dick Soutiere of Holyoke, Massachusetts. Built at a cost of $2400, Dick's coupe was fit with a 1937 Cadillac grille, push button doors and exhaust pipes that piereced trough the trunk panel. The car was lowered 4 inches all around, and it featured special racing shock absorbers. The body was painted Maroon. Power came from a 8 cylinder Mercury engine, good for 117.065 mph. according to the Souvenir Pictorial from the 1955 Hartford Autorama.
