A 1937 Ford Delivery Sedan that DeWayne found in a wrecking yard in 1961. He bought it for $75. "Unfortunately, I only took a before picture of it just as I was driving it into my shop. It came out rough but cool-looking. 15-inch wheels and tires, all-black primer, and lowered front end. Fenton headers and glass pack mufflers. I removed the side panels on the hood and spruced up the Flathead with two Stromberg carbs. I know that ended up with a guy who worked at a Shell service station on 56th and Yakima Ave in Tacoma, Washington. Photo courtesy of DeWayne Iverson.
DeWayne Iverson's 1949 Mercury. DeWayne purchased the car from a lot in Tacoma in 1963. The car had already been customized when he got it.
DeWayne at age 76. Still a Gearhead! "I started building flathead V8s when I was 14 and I knew my way around an engine early. It was a very fun time back then. We only had one hotrod store in the vicinity, Doug's Racing Stables, and a lot of fab work was done. I found one of Doug's Racing Stables cars from back in the day at a Goodguys car show in Puyallup, Washington."
