Bud Schaffnit's 1937 Cord
1937 Cord owned by Bud Schaffnit of California. Bud called his Cord The "Rocket-Cord", since it was powered by a Oldsmobile Rocket engine. Bud replaced the original front gearbox cover with molded sheet stock. The flip-up headlights were welded shut, and a set of 1940 Chevrolet units were installed. The car was nosed to achieve a cleaner appearance. A rear wrap-around bumper was installed in the rear to protect it. Hall Upholstery installed a black removable top for Bud as well. It was fit with Oldsmobile wheels with low-pressure tires.[1]
