Bud Campbell's 1955 Plymouth
1955 Plymouth Sport Coupe restyled by Dick Jackson's Advanced Custom Paints for Bud Campbell of Norwalk, California. The most striking feature on Bud's Plymouth was a pair of flared fins from a Studebaker Golden Hawk that were molded onto the rear fenders. The taillights were made from a combination of the stock taillights and 1956 Buick taillights. Dual radio antennas were installed alongside the taillights. Bumper guards were removed and the car was nosed and decked, dual spotlights were added along with a set of 1953 Buick wire wheels with flipper spinners. Dual exhaust was routed out on the side of the car. Once the bodywork was done the car was painted in a two-tone white and gold paint job featuring pinstriping on the hood and deck lid.[1] In 1958 Bud's Plymouth was featured on the cover of Trend Book 156 Custom Cars 1958 Annual.
