In 1954 Raymond Besasie built the Excalibur J for Brooks Stevens.
Steve Stevens' 1956 Ford Crown Victoria was a father-son project between Brooks Stevens and his son Steve. The actual work on the car was done by Raymond Besasie.
The Gaylord Gladiator is an automobile developed by the Gaylord Brothers of Chicago. Designed by Brooks Stevens, the Gaylord Brothers wanted to compete with cars such as Rolls-Royce. Two Gladiator prototypes were handcrafted by Spohn. The car made its debut at the 1955 salon de Paris. 25 orders were needed to keep the project afloat. They never came. Augustus Eberman's 1941 Chevrolet Coupe of Geneva, Wisconsin. The build was completed circa 1961, and it is believed to be designed by Brooks Stevens.

Clifford Brooks Stevens (June 7, 1911 - January 4, 1995) was an American industrial designer of home furnishings, appliances, automobiles and motorcycles. Steve was also a graphic designer and stylist.[1]

Stevens founded Brooks Stevens, Inc in Allenton, Wisconsin.[1]


The Industrial Designers Society of America

In 1944 Stevens, Raymond Loewy, and eight others formed the Industrial Designers Society of America.[1]
