Bill Ramsey of Niles, California. Bill was born in 1931. In the 1950s he was a member of the San Jose Gear Jammers car club. "He lived in Niles, California, which is 20 miles north of San Jose," Bill's son Ron told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2020. Ron remembered his dad telling him stories about going to meetings in San Jose, "and after the meeting was over, they were 2-4 hot rods racing back to a drive in to hang out. Whoever got there first had the fastest hot rod." In the early 1950s Bill had a full race Flathead powered 1932 Ford 3-window coupe that he ran at the first sanctioned drags at an airport in Felton, Santa Cruz. In 2020 Bill was living in Corvallis, Montana.[1]
