Bennet Landén's 1932 Ford 3-win coupe

This Ford 1932 3-window coupe was a barnfind by Lennart Djurberg in the late 1950s.
The car was used as a chicken shack by a farmer!

As Lennart already had his 1932 roadster, the intention for the coupe was to have as a "winter car".
Some of the old tuning engine parts from the roadster were fitted to the coupe.

Lennart fixed the body and did some Hotrodding work on the car including a 1939 gearbox and a paint job in red with white firewall. Maybe the red color was the original.
Lennart used it lot and probably damaged one front fender occassionally.

There is a story when Lennarts girlfriend(?) Lillemor drove the car on the countryside. She looked back and turned the steering wheel in the same move so the car turned right down in a trench with the front down and almost turned over, lots of water went in the car.
Lennart, in the passenger seat, had installed an ashtray in glass that he smashed his knee into and got a severe damage of.
The front part had to be repaired and the car was repainted green.

After a couple of years the car was sold (Lennart deeply regrets selling the car) to someone named "Pelle".

Bennet Landén then became next owner of the car in the early 1960s.

At the "First Go" dragracing at Anderstorp Raceway 1968 the car showed up in the startlist as #74 and owned by O. Landén.

(Ove Bennet Landén). Classed as F/SA (Street Altered) with weight 1330 kg and a 4.34 litre engine it ran a moderate 17.08 on the quartermile.

So Bennet had this car from Djurberg before he got Björn Bellanders 1932 Roadster which he brought in his move from Stockholm to Malmö.
Still, he kept this 3-win coupe, drove a lot, but in 1971 decided to store it in a garage at Öland.

Around 2010, Håkan Lindberg bought the car from Bennet.

Håkan has maintained the look from the 1960s including flathead engine and the same green colour. It can be seen quite often in the Stockholm area.
Håkan has got the fenders but they need some TLC so meanwhile the car runs without them.
