1949 Ford Cars and Trucks for sale
After the Second World War, Ford Motor Company had been producing remodeled designs of their 1942 models. When the 1949 model was introduced, it was revolutionary. 3 inches lower than its predecessors, the design was sleek and slab-sided. The final design of the '49 Ford came from a team of freelancers headed by Richard Caleal. Before the car went into production, Ford's own designers just made some minor modifications. With over 1.1 million sold vehicles, Ford was the second most selling automobile for 1942.
