Robert Martinez

Robert "Robbie" Martinez of San Diego, California. Around 1955-1956, when Robert built his 1950 Oldsmobile 98, he was working with Carroll "Red Eye" Gentry at Styler's Custom Shop.[1] When the car was featured in Car Craft November 1956, Robert was the manager in charge of Broadway Auto Body Shop in Chula Vista, California.[2] According to Roger Honey, who hang around Styler's Custom Shop when Robert worked there, you never knew where Robert's next shop was going to be; "He also had a shop in Imperial Beach for a few years, and another shop on Quince in San Diego, I think that was called the House of Colors."[1]
Robert passed away in April of 2018.[1]
