Gary Rasmussen's 1959 Chevrolet Impala

1959 Chevrolet Impala owned by Gary Rasmussen of Salt Lake City, Utah. Gary was an upholsterer, running his own shop named "Gary Rasmussen," and he gave the Impala a full custom upholstery in order to showcase his business. According to Gordy Brown, Gary was one of several top-quality upholsterers of Salt Lake City, and he did quite a few of the customs in town in the 1950s and 1960s. Gary's specialty was the "Boot" or tarp over the back seat. He had some techniques to get them very tight without sagging.[1]
