Floyd De Boer's 1958 Pontiac
1958 Pontiac Bonneville owned by Dutchmen of Paramount member Floyd De Boer of Bellflower, California. Floyd's name was misspelled "Floyd De Bore" in magazines, a name that has stuck with him. In 2016 Josie Celeste traced down Floyd, to find out that his last name De Boer, and not De Bore.[1]
Floyd's Bonneville featured mild body modifications such as a nosed hood and decked trunk. Some emblems were removed, and the stock grille was replaced by a mesh-type grille. In the rear, the car was also modified with 1956 Oldsmobile taillights. In order to get a ground scraping appearance, the car was lowered and given lake pipes. The car was also fitted with dual dummy spotlights and 1958 Dodge Lancer hubcaps. All body modifications were performed at Ed Schelhaas' Custom Shop.
The wild paint job on Floyd's car was applied by Larry Watson of Watson's House of Style. The paint scheme was applied on a base of plum and bronze lacquer. The scallops were in brass-gold and a flame pattern was carried on the recessed rear fender panels. Black fogging was also used around the trim to help set it off.

Around 1959 - 1960 Dan Cuellar saw the car for sale in a car lot on Atlantic Blvd. in Compton. The asking price was around 2000 USD. Dan would have loved to buy it, but it was out of his reach at the time he told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2019.[2]
