In 2008 Per was running Firestone Deluxe Champion 4.00-18 Cycle Tires up front on the roadster. The perfect choice for a classic or custom motorcycle, but also a popular tire for hot rods running narrow spindle-mounted wheels. Check price and availability on the same tires on Amazon.com.

1928 Ford Model A Roadster built by Per Thoren from Sweden, a member of the Jokers Car Club. Per bought the car in 2005, after 6 years of trying to buy the car from its previous owners. Per's roadster is powered by a Chevrolet 396 engine equipped with a GMC 6-71 blower mounted on a Weiand manifold. In 2006 the blower featured 6 Stromberg 97's, by 2008 the number had risen to 10. The car is built on a stock frame that is boxed and drilled. The front axle is stock, but it has been modified with 1932 Ford spindles. The car has no front brakes. The front wheels are spindle-mounted Radir 3x18's with Firestone DeLuxe Champion 4.00-18 tires. Rear wheels are American Racing Magnesium 8x15" fit with M/T 8.20-15 pie crust slicks. The grille is a cut down 1932 Ford truck grille. Inside, the car is upholstered in white angle hair. The first version of the car also featured a steering wheel from a 1961 Aqua Bird boat.
