1927 Ford Ala Kart Clone built by Howdy Ledbetter of Fremont, California. The Ala Kart II was a tribute to the original Ala Kart, the first two-time winner of the AMBR trophy. The car is constructed on a 1927 Ford platform and equipped with a Jaguar rear end, Magnum dropped tube front suspension, and a modified Chevrolet 350 V-8 engine mated to an automatic transmission to improve drivability. Though not identical to the original, which was almost totally destroyed by fire, Ala Kart II was built using the same custom techniques and generates the same excitement wherever it is displayed.
