Paradise Road
Paradise Road is a full-service hot rod, custom and lowrider shop in Nagoya, Japan. The shop is owned and run by Junichi Shimodaira. Junichi started his business in February 1987. In addition to importing American cars and parts, Paradise Road became a full-service hot rod, custom, and lowrider shop capable of a variety of construction tasks.[1] Paradise Road is known for customizing less popular American car models and styles, and its reputation attracted a visit from American Kustom Kulture icon Ed "Big Daddy" Roth in 2001.[2]
In 2002 Junich turned a stock 1930 Ford Model A Tudor into a wild show rod called Rod Riguez. Rod Riguez attracted attention and publicity all over the world, and it became one of the cars that paved the way for the Japanese rod and custom scene in the 2000s.[3]
