1955 Studebaker originally owned and restyled Milton J. Antonick of Mt. Vermont, Ohio. At the time Milton was studying at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. After selling his customized 1953 Studebaker in December of 1956 Milton returned to Mt. Vermont for a semester break. During the semester he purchased the 1955 Studebaker hardtop. It was two-tone blue with matching interior, a low mileage car and a great runner. He kept it for six years and modified it by substituting a Hawk hood for the original. A fender bender prompted this change. At the same time the color was changed to all white. Milton did the bodywork, but he had the car painted in Los Angeles. In 1960 Milton joined the Studebaker design staff, and he sold the car in March the same year. The car was sold to another designer who did a major custom job on the car.
