Hot Rod Show 1966 Marmorhallarna

After the success of the shows in Stockholm 1965 and one show in Örebro January 1966, the same guys, (Sandberg, Qvarnström and Nordström), arranged a new show in Marmorhallarna April 1966.
At the street entry on Birger Jarlsgatan, on the canopy, was Lars Erik Ljungkvist's 1932 Ford set up to allure visitors.
Specially invited was the artist Ulf Wahlberg, presenting his unique paintings from the American car and racing culture.
Both floors of the premises were used to give room for more cars and vendors of car parts and other merchandise.
There was also a popular small movie section, showing racings films from the USA.
More than 30 cars and about the same number of 2-wheelers were on display.
A very popular entry was the first custom car built on an european basis, the Thomas Carlsson's 1957 Volvo Amazon custom.
Around 15000 people visited the show.
