Gordon Vann's Fiat Abarth
Fiat Abarth owned and restyled by Gordon Vann of Walnut Creek, California. Gordon ran and operated Gordon Vann's Body Shop in Berkley. Kit Sagen was Vann's neighbor in 1961, and in 2019, he told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama that to his recollection, Vann built the car for himself; "I know he eventually sold it. It was red, and I think aluminum. This was built when sports cars were not mainstream in California but were gaining in popularity with sports car clubs and raceways popping up."[1] Inspiration for the build seems to have come from the Alfa Romeo BAT concept cars.
