A photo of the Shark that Dave Wallace Jr. shot in the early 1980s. The photo is taken in front of Bob Bowen's house in Lodi. Bowen bought both the Shark and the Golden Piranha, and Dave shot both cars that day. Car Craft editor Jon Asher accepted and published both cars, to Dave's surprise, "and certainly to the astonishment of readers of "Drag Racing's Complete Magazine," he told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2020. In June of 2022, the Sharkmobile was sitting outside, deteriorating. According to John Wright, the current owner had only had it for a short time. In November of 2022, the Shark was back at DeRosa Customs, in the possession of Frank DeRosa Jr.. The car is in need of restoration after sitting outside in the wet Washington climate.
