1946 Ford coupe originally built in the Southern areas of Stockholm in the early 1970s. The original builder is unknown.

Hi, here is some short info about my car. i´m doing some heavy research just now on it and will fill in the missing details here when I´ve got them.

Was built in the areas of Southern Stockholm in the beginning of the early 70´s.by not confirmed builders yet. The flipfront comes from a sidesmashed `48 Mercury convertible. And the rest of the car is what I´ve heard from three other cars. A Tudor donated the windsheild and half of the floor, the doors and coupe body from another car and the frame from yet another car.

Was then sold to Danne Jörgenssen in Enköping who made it run and got it registred with a boring 307 cu. in. Chevy. ( back in those days they wouldn´t accept to much horsepower so a smog engine was what everybody used to please the state ). As Danne told me, that engine broke down a week after and got replaced by a prepped 327 cu. in. instead. Painted flatblack first and after some time got handpainted flames in purple by the legend Staffan Runhag.

Then the car got a new owner named Hogge. He painted it lightblue with flames. He also primered it and painted " 46 " on the sides.

Next owner was Stigulf who put on a new layer of primer and red scallops. Was he who made the seats in red flakevinyl. Then it got repainted in flatblack again and was stored away in many years.

Then Håkan Andersson bought it. It´s he who made it driveable again the way it looks today.

And the story of me and the car is that I saw it in Skultuna around 2009 I think. Recognised it immediatly , and thought for myself. wtf that car´still around? Followed it on media, contacted the new owner after Håkan and asked if it was for sale? And it was, so I put my other cars out for sale and after a month I had it parked at my home.

Now I had one little problem to solve. The engine had changed to a well prepped 350 cu.in. with a 4 speed Saginaw box w. a clutch that had almost none slip, so that wasn´t anything for me to cruise around with. Called my friend Robban Gustavsson and everything was solved in a couple of minutes over the phone. He had a newly rebuilt 305 cu.in.and a TH 350. He took care of the old engine as payment for the change, he did a little more on the chassis, lowering some brackets so everything was working ok, and mounted a Gennie shifter also. Now it´s a dream to drive around in it, throw in a good rockin´ CD and crank up the volume and let the good times roll.
