Milt Goodman's 1955 Chevrolet
Restyled by Milt and Jack
The car was designed and restyled by Milt and his friend Jack Williams. The stock grille cavity was filled out with a cut-down 1958 Chevrolet grille; a simple grille swap for the 1955 Chevrolet. The car was also fit with 1958 Chevrolet quad-lights mounted vertically, and a sectioned 1958 Chevrolet front bumper which was narrowed 6 1/2 inches. "Flares" were molded to the fenders and a hand-built airscoop with chrome trim was mounted on the hood. The car was nosed, decked and shaved; removing the door handles and the vertical trim stripe on the side. Short lakes pipes protruded just behind the front wheels. The stock rear bumper was replaced by one from a 1956 Chevrolet and the rear fenders were extended 4 1/2 inches and formed to house complete 1956 Buick taillight units. Hubcaps were Chrysler Imperial.
In order to lower the car Milt re-worked the spindles and dropped the front end 4". In the rear 6" lowering blocks were used. Once the bodywork was done the car was painted Iris white with moderate scallops in contrasting color.
