Richard Mikami's 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Split Window After totaling his lifted 1961 Chevrolet Impala in 1965, Richard "Froggie" Mikami of Gardena, California pulled out all the hydraulic parts and installed them in his Corvette. Manuel Gonzalez's 1940 Ford Coupe 1940 Ford Coupe owned by Pharaohs of Wilmington member Manuel Gonalez of Wilmington, California. In 1956, when Gonzalez was 19 years old, he had Von Dutch dress the coupe up with a flame paint job. At least a recreation of the famous show rod, built by Martin and Marion Bennett from Cambridge, New Zealand. It is making its worldwide debut at the SEMA Show this week. 09.30.2019 - The Barris Kustom City Photo Arcive is Live Barris Kustom City is an online photo archive consisting of a collection of photographs by George Barris. Launched in September of 2019 the archive contains thousands of photos of the world’s most amazing custom cars, hot rods, race cars and pin-up's from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.

Looking for Info: Joe and Jerry Valdez's 1921 Ford Model T Roadster After nearly 40 years in storage, this fully chromed T-bucket ended up being pushed outside earlier this year. The owner had passed away. His son had sold the house with the car in the garage, and the new owner had no interest in it. Luckily Austin Thornton came to the rescue. Looking for Info: Dave Paul's 1955 Chevrolet Convertible This 1955 Chevrolet custom has been in Tim Paul's family for 40+ years. His dad, who is no longer with us, bought the car in Denver, Colorado in 1974. Modifications included a Candy Apple Red paint job, split bumpers, stacked quad headlights, and DeSoto taillights. Looking for Info: Raymond Patricco's 1934 Ford Roadster They are still out there! Panels. Fogging. Pinstriping. This custom painted 1934 Ford survivor was just dragged out of storage in Whitehouse, New Jersey. We're helping the current caretakers trace the history of the car. Maybe you can help us?

The Willard McPhatter Jr. Collection Willard McPhatter Jr. took these photos at the Charlotte Coliseum Car Show in 1965. Willard is Cory Vaughn's uncle, and the Charlotte Coliseum Car Show, is the first show he and his brother ever attended. The Bill Boren Collection Bill Boren was an active member of the Culver City Screwdrivers in the 1940s and the 1950s. He and Jerry Keldrauk were a regular sight at the dry lakes with their track nosed 1932 Ford Sedan. Unfortunately Bill passed away in September of 2014, but his memory lives on on Kustomrama as his daughter Karen has scanned and shared his old albums with us. The Howard Miereanu Collection Howard R. Miereanu is a well known graphic designer. With degrees in industrial design & graphics from the Art Center College of Design, Howard’s experience is wide-ranging; from an exterior automotive designer at General Motors (1959-1963), back to Los Angeles he joined a local furniture manufacturer as head designer and created a line of office furniture, moved on to be Senior Partner at Advertising & Sons (a boutique advertising agency in Beverly Hills), and finally to owner and founder of HRM Graphic Design (a Woodland-Hills-based graphic design studio specializing in packaging, corporate ID).

Sold: Dave Jenkins' 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air Historic one-owner Alexander Brothers custom. September 19th, 2019 the Dave Jenkins Chevrolet will hit the auctions block. For Sale: Bob Huffman's 1965 Chevrolet Impala 1965 Chevrolet Impala owned and restyled by Bob Huffman of Norwalk, California. Bob bought the Impala brand new from Paramount Chevrolet in Downey, California in September of 1964. He paid $3100.00 for the car, took it home and started restyling it almost immediately. For Sale: Joe Wilhelm's Wild Dream Wild Dream is a show rod designed and built by Joe Wilhelm at Wilhelm's Custom Shop for John Hernandez. Built over a three year period, the wild rod featured a futuristic hand-formed aluminum body that was covered with 20 coats of purple metalflake paint.

Midnight Mass 2019 The 16th annual Midnight Mass was held July 27, 2019, at Yolo County Fairgrounds in Woodland, California. Dave Wallace Jr. attended the show with his pocket camera, and he has been kind enough to share his photos with Kustomrama. Kustom Kills & Hot Rod Thrills 2019 Kustom Kills & Hot Rod Thrills is a pre-1965 hot rod and custom car show held by Rumblers of New York City. The 2019 Kustom Kills & Hot Rod Thrills was held Saturday, September 21st, 2019 under the BQE at Lorimer Street in New York City. Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance 2019 The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is known as the most prestigious car show in the world, and this year's line up included a Historic Hot Rod Cover Cars Class, consisting of a handful of historic hot rods that made history being featured on the covers of well known hot rod and custom car magazines.

Lawrence Garrison's 1940 Mercury Convertible In 2011 Birger Meland of Lier, Norway bought Lawrence Garrison’s channeled 1940 Mercury from Pat Orosco in California. For a long time, the history of this old custom has been full of holes and rumors. In June Birger told us that he wanted to restore the car back to how it was originally built. We applauded the initiative and agreed to help him research the history of the car. Gil Ayala's 1955 Ford Thunderbird - The Wild Bird Gil Ayala's personal custom, a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, known as the Wild Bird, has been sold to Scandinavia. Gil's Thunderbird is one of the few known surviving Ayala Customs, and it is a great addition to the Scandinavian custom scene. The restoration. We followed the restoration of the car, and it's trip halfway across the world on Kustomrama. The Kustomrama Dream truck The Kustomrama Dream Truck is a tribute to the custom cars of the late 1950s. Being an admirer of Jerry DeVito's wildly restyled 1957 Ford Fairlane, that we all know as the Maze, Sondre Kvipt decided that he wanted to recreate this car as a Ranchero. The build was started in Oslo, Norway in January of 2014, lead by Sondre's brother Olav.

Keith Christensen was the first President of the club and a founding member.
