The Long Beach Cavaliers was formed in 1948 at Poly High School in Long Beach, California. At the time the club had about 25 members. The existence of the club is divided into three generations, 1948 - 1955, 1956 - 1965 and 1998 to present. In the late 1950s and mid 1960s the club consisted of more than 100 members. In August of 2013 Brian Darwas released a documentary about the Cavaliers called This is Long Beach. The movie documents the history of the club, with members from each generation contributing and sharing their stories. The Cavaliers have also shared their photo collection and scrapbook with Kustomrama.
