1953 Ford owned by Lakewood Creators member Roger Miller of Bellflower, California. Up front Roger's car had headlights shades crafted onto the fenders in order to modernize the front-end appearance. The hood corners were rounded, the upper grille shell reversed and frenched into the gravel pan. Parking lights from a 1949 Chevrolet were used in the corners of the mesh-type grille center. The grille was encirceled with a round rod. Taillights were frenched into the rear fenders using stock outside lenses with 1954 Oldsmobile center pieces. The car was nosed, decked and shaved for door handles, doors and deck lid were pushbutton operated. The exhaust tips were made of driveshaft housings. Ed Schelhaas did all the custom body work, while his painter George Newton painted it light teal blue in Nitro lacquer. Larry Watson of Watson's House of Style pinstriped it in Navy blue.[1]
