Riley's Custom Shop was a custom shop located in Chico, California. The shop was run and operated by Riley Collins. Riley saw his first custom on the streets of Sacramento in the late 1940s. He liked what he saw, and decided to build his own custom based on a 1948 Chevrolet fastback. Once completed, the car won many trophies, giving Riley a lot of potential customers wanting him to build them a car. Riley teamed up with his good friend Jim Roten, who was an artist and designer. While Jim did the sketching, Riley did the metal and paint work.[2]
