1951 Buick Convertible owned and restyled by Ed Webster of Aurora, Illinois. Starting with the front, Ed reworked the fenders to house headlights from a 1953 Buick. A 1955 Oldsmobile grill bar was placed inside the stock opening. The rear fenders were reworked to house 1955 Plymouth taillights that were inverted and frenched. The hood and deck lid were shaved of their ornamentation. Ed lowered the car 2 inches up front, and 4 inches in the rear by cutting the coils. Ed ran both lakes plugs and lakes pipes on each side of the car. He also installed dual spotlights and chromed Moon disks on the car. The stock side trim divided a two-tone Venetian blue and ivory paint job. Art Borgeson of Joliet, Illinois upholstered the car in Naugahyde. Ed choose a full-race 1958 Buick mill to power his convertible. The engine featured a three carb intake manifold and was bolted to a 1937 Cadillac floor shift transmission.[1]
