A photo of Earl's Coupe that Don Cox snapped at a circle track in 1949. Parked between all the hot rods we can also spot a bare aluminum iteration of the iconic Norman Timbs Special. Photo from The Robert Genat Collection.

1940 Ford Three-Window Coupe owned by Earl Bruce of Hollywood, California. Earl bought the car brand new in 1939. He drove it around for a while until he decided to get it chopped. Earl's car was chopped 3 inches by Roy Hagy, and Chuck Porter punched the louvers in the hood. Other body work was done by Dick Summers of Hollywood. [1]Fenders were cut away with no running boards used and the stock taillights were replaced by 1940 Buick units. Valley Customs later re-painted it. The car is still around, owned by its original owner Earl Bruce.
