Kustomrama's 5th annual East Coast Customs by the Sea car show will be held June 9-10, 2018 in Wildwood, New Jersey. The show takes place at the beach, inside the Race of Gentlemen showground. Held in cooperation with the Oilers car club, during the Race of Gentlemen, Customs by the Sea is a celebration of the early custom car.
The rules are simple. Customs by the Sea is open for pre-1952 custom cars, restyled in a pre-1952 style. There is a limited number of spaces available so you have to pre-register if you want to be a part of the gathering. Please send an email with photos of your car to email@example.com to register your vehicle for the show. The photos must show the car as it currently sits. Please include photos showing all sides of the car along with an interior shot.
Right outside the showground there will be an area reserved for pre-1965 traditional hot rods and customs. All styles and builds are welcome to attend there.
The 2nd annual East Coast Customs by the Sea was held October 10-11, 2015 in Wildwood, New Jersey. The show was planned to take place October 3-4, 2015, but due to hurricane Joaquin, it had to be postponed one week. While the first Customs by the Sea was a celebration of traditional custom cars from all decades, the 2nd Customs by the Sea was a celebration of the early custom car. The show was held at the beach, right next to the Race of Gentlemen. The rules were simple: "Customs by the Sea is open for pre 1952 automobiles, restyled in a pre 1952 style".
The first East Coast Customs by the Sea was held October 3-5, 2014 in Wildwood, New Jersey. The premiere show was a gathering of traditional custom cars from all decades. Held in the parking lot at the end of Rio Grande Avenue, the show was divided into three areas. The heart and soul of the show was an exhibition of historic custom cars. These were surrounded by period correct traditional customs from all decades. A third area of the show was also reserved for traditional hot rods.
