Butler Rugard was a charter member of the Thunderbolts Car Club. In 1940 Butler had Harry Westergard restyle a brand new 1940 Mercury for him. Sometime after 1943 Butler bought Gene Garret's 1936 Ford that also was restyled by Harry Westergard. After Butler sold the car, it disappeared from the rod and kustom scene. It may be in a garage somewhere or may have been reincarnated into hundreds of Toyotas. We can hope for a miraculous discovery someday.

According to Dick Bertolucci Butler was one hellava driver, and if it had wheels, Butler would drive it.[1]
