1959 Chevrolet Impala restyled by Walker's Custom Shop in Bakersfield for Bob Mayfield of Bakersfield, California. The hood scoops were filled-in to achieve a smoother look. A popular custom treatment on the 1959 Chevrolet was to install tubegrilles, this was the cause for Bob's ride to. The door handles were removed, while dual spotlights and side pipes were added. The car was lowered four inches by cutting the coils a few turns. Twin 1959 Cadillac taillights were added in the new tunneled openings. The side trim was extended to the new taillight innovation. The car was painted Pearl with scalloping by the legendary painter Larry Watson of Watson's House of Style. Dodge Lancer Hubcaps on wide whites wrapped up the style.[1]
