Westergard Custom
A Westergard Custom refers to the signature style of early customizer Harry Westergard, a pioneer based in Sacramento, California. Known for his elegant and understated approach, Westergard began customizing cars in the 1930s and became one of the first to blend European coachbuilt influences with American iron. His builds often featured long, low lines, molded fenders, fadeaway panels, and subtle chops, typically on late-1930s Buicks, Fords, and Cadillacs. Westergard Customs were not flashy, but carefully proportioned and meticulously crafted, setting the tone for what would become the traditional custom car aesthetic.
