Wally Welch's 1941 Ford
1941 Ford restyled by the Ayala Brothers at Gil's Auto Body Works for fellow East Los Angeles Auto Butchers member Wally Welch. The frontal area of the car was designed around the skeleton of a 1942 Ford frontpiece. The hood was molded, dual spotlights and Flipper Hubcaps were added, and the stock bumpers were replaced by 1948 Ford units. A Gravel Shield from a 1948 Ford was also molded into the Devil-Red metallic body. The taillights were a specialty of the Ayala Brothers. The body was dropped 3 to 3 1/2 inches. The car sported a padded American Auto Tops by Lous Chavez.
