1955 Chevrolet restyled by Bailon Custom Shop and Lloyd's in San Pablo for Wally Ruby. Starting in the front, the design of the car was altered by installing a grille incorporating teeth from from a 1954 Ford pickup truck mounted on a floating horizontal bar. The hood was shaved of its ornamentation and parking lights from a 1950 Chevrolet were installed below the headlights. The stock front bumper was kept, but modified by incorporating Cadillac dagmars. The stock side trim was ripped off and replaced by cleaner 1955 Dodge Lancer pieces. The Lancer side trim follows the body lines of the Chevy perfectly. Door and deck lid handles were shaved away and the quarter panels were modified to accept 1955 Lincoln taillight lenses. The lenses were cut down and frenched in. Custom hubcaps and dual spotlights wrapped up the style. All bodywork and modifications were done by Lloyd's, while the grille and sparkling Candy Apple paint was the handiwork of Joe Bailon. After the car had been painted, subtle pinstriping was added to the hood and deck lid. Wally's Chevy was also fit with a custom stitched upholstery.[1]
