Patrick is at the bottom left of the photo holding a poster for an upcoming dance they were putting on at that time. ""Over several years we put on seven or eight dances. Each more elaborate than the last one. Cavaliers became the most well-known club in the area, mainly because of the great entertainment we had at these dances, and also because WE WERE THE GREATEST!" The club grew to about 65+ members by 1962. "Starting on the west side of Long Beach, based at Poly High School it expanded to include many guys from other parts of town," Patrick recalled. The Cavaliers is a car club from Long Beach, California. The club was formed in 1948 at Poly High School, and it had about 25 members. The existence of the club is divided into three generations, 1948 - 1955, 1956 - 1965 and 1998 to present. In the late 1950s and mid 1960s the club consisted of more than 100 members.

The club expands trough dances and great entertainment

Patrick Farrell was a member of the Cavaliers from 1957 to 1962. ""Over several years we put on seven or eight dances, he told Sondre Kvipt of Kustomrama in 2020. "Each more elaborate than the last one. Cavaliers became the most well-known club in the area, mainly because of the great entertainment we had at these dances, and also because WE WERE THE GREATEST!" This is Long Beach

In the 2010s Brian Darwas made a documentary movie about the Cavaliers called This is Long Beach. The movie documents the history of the club, with members from each generation contributing, sharing their stories. A part of the movie also takes place at Masterson Kustoms in Lynwood, where the current members of the club have the top on a 1947 Ford chopped. The movie had World Premier at the Art Theatre in Long Beach, California, August 2nd, 2013.
