1949 Ford Convertible owned by James Pagliarulo of Hartford, Connecticut. The unusual Coupe de Ville convertible featured an innovative styling for 1958. The front was completely reshaped, with large hooded shades over the headlights, re-contoured hood, 1949 Mercury grille shell and a 1954 Pontiac grille bar. The front bumper was a 1949 Plymouth unit. Side trim from a 1955 Oldsmobile was installed on the car, giving it a total new look, and it separated the two-tone paint job. The door handles were shaved of course. The rear end was heavily massaged as well, with a total new deck lid, 1956 Plymouth fenders grafted to the Ford body, and Cadillac bumper tips to top it off. Three horizontally taillights were installed in a custom constructed shroud. The rear body panel was hand formed from sheet stock.[1]
