1940 Mercury built by Gene Dupertius. Gene was a cabinetmaker, and the 1940 Mercury frame supported gracefully the wood body that he made. The simple square lines of the car fit nicely together with the hood and fenders. The grille was a Dodge unit, and the bumpers DeSoto.[1]
