Galley Smith and W.A. Humphrey's 1940 Ford

1940 Ford built by Galley Smith and W. A. Humphrey of Conway, Kansas. Galley and W. A. started the build by sectioning the body 4 1/2 inches. A similar slice was also taken from the hood. A 1942 Ford roof was used to make the rear deck. The side panels were shaped and welded on to the roof, blending with the front and rear fenders. It took a lot of welding and filling to put the car together. Once completed the build had taken more then 300 spare time hours, and $600 in parts.
