1950 Cadillac restyled by Ed Matusek of Royal Oak, Michigan. Ed customized his Cadillac by adding to its basic shape, rather than subtracting. Ed stepped up the rear fender line using a block of wood. The block was shaped approximately to the contour desired and screwed on to the stock fender. To it was fastened an ordinary piece of fly screen. The contour was then built up to final form with an overlay of resin-impregnated Fiberglas. Other custom features are fashioned around sheet aluminum. The jet-type air scoops on each side of the hood are made from this metal overlaid with an experimental plastic similar to what is commonly known as "cold solder". The headlight eyebrows were also made of plastic-overlaid aluminum.
