1932 Ford Victoria Phaeton owned and restyled by Bernie Stein of Hayward, California. Starting out as a Victoria, the car lost its head when Bernie decided to go the open air route. The tan and white Naugahyde upholstery was done by Ron Jones of Hayward. The build cost less than $ 1000 by Bernie doing his own work, however the 1953 Chrysler HEMI engine did not come out cheap. It was fit with a hot coil and a Howard street cam. Bernie did the engine swap using a Cragar adaptor, Dodge truck flywheel, and 11" Ford clutch. The stock firewall was covered with ribbed aluminum while a small trouble-lamp matched the grille.[1]
